- Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning (natural or artificial) for at least 2 weeks before your appointment. Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily.
- No Waxing or Plucking: Do not wax, tweeze, or use depilatory creams for 4-6 weeks before your session. Shaving is fine.
- Shave the Area: Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment. This ensures the laser targets the hair follicle below the skin surface.
- Avoid Certain Products: Refrain from using retinol, glycolic acid, or other exfoliating products on the treatment area for at least 5 days before your session.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before your appointment to keep your skin hydrated.
- No Makeup or Lotions: Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotion, or deodorant in the treatment area.
- Cool the Area: Apply a cold compress or aloe vera gel to soothe redness or irritation if needed.
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Continue to avoid direct sunlight and tanning for at least 2 weeks after your session. Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily.
- Skip Hot Activities: Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense workouts for 24-48 hours post-treatment to prevent irritation.
- No Picking or Scrubbing: Do not pick, scratch, or scrub the treated area, as this can cause irritation or discoloration.
- Avoid Irritating Products: Refrain from using retinol, glycolic acid, or other exfoliating products for 5-7 days after your session.
- Hair Shedding is Normal: You may notice hair shedding in the treated area within 1-2 weeks post-treatment. This is a sign the laser worked effectively.
- Hydrate and Moisturize: Keep your skin hydrated by drinking water and using a gentle moisturizer.
